Cameron Highland in Pahang is one of Malaysia’s most popular tourist destinations, a collection of peaceful townships perched 1500 meters high on a nest of serene mountains with cooling resorts, tea plantations and strawberry farms sprawl. Mossy Forest


This is definitely a place you should never miss when you’re in Cameron Highland. Amazing wildlife in this forest where you don’t get to see anywhere else in Malaysia. Fyi, a 4WD car is needed to drive up to this place. The view is amazing.

Great humid forests on the top of mountains!

It’s worth climbing up to the lookup tower as it rises above the towering trees to look over both Perak and Pahang mountainscape. As a matter of fact, the mossy forest straddles both states.

Boh Tea Centre
One of the pioneer tea plantation in Malaysia. Parking is at the downhill and you have to walk through the path using the road or walkpath while enjoying the plantation scenery until to the cafe and BOH shop.

It attracts thousands of visitors who flock in daily to make a guided tour of the processing facilities and enjoy a cup of tea from the different varieties offered at the tea center after strolling in the history of the tea plantation in the region.

Stop by this sea coconut stall while you’re on your way up to Brinchang. It’s very different from the normal coconut!

 

Cactus Valley

Cactus Valley is a botanical show garden nestled on a hill slope overlooking Brinchang town center, featuring a large collection of cacti, flowers and ornamental plants of various shapes, colours and sizes.

Big Red Strawberry Farm, also known as Taman Agro Tourism Cameron Highlands offers one-stop garden and farm centre to relax and unwind. It is located in Brinchang town, right beside Cactus Valley at the new town of Brinchang.

Delicious fried tilapia, where the fish is thinly sliced, marinated with lemongrass, deep fried and sprinkled with a splash of black pepper, fried curry leaves and fried garlic. Don’t forget to try out their stir-fried vegetables (long xu cai) with belacan.

Many options available between charcoal steamboat, charcoal mookata or twin-steamboat (using gas). The buffet option is a deal maker here too. Fresh local vegetables and the portion here is very big too.

Asam Pedas tilapia fish was flavorful but slightly oily. Stir-fried assorted mushrooms was on point.
