DAY 1
 
Jin Din Rou 
This place is highly recommended for Xiao Long Baos if you dont want to wait in line at Din Tai Fung. Oolong Tea Xiao Long Baos is a must-try here!

Tiger Sugar 
Long snaky queues for a brown sugar milk drink with tapioca. With the sugarcane brown sugar stir-fried ahead of time, the sugar syrup is made and mixed with the fresh milk which creates lines like patterns on the tigers.

OIA Oia Art Cafe
 
Unlike most other “animal cafes”, this Alpaca cafe have active animals that interact with the customers.
 
One good thing is they are not scared of people, so when people take pictures with them, they are actually pretty cooperate about it. 
 
There are a few Alpacas and goats at the back.

Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf
An amazing place for sungazing and also a romantic place to bring your other half to.
Tamsui Lover’s Bridge
White arch shape lover’s bridge. 

 

 The lights illuminating the bridge change color at night, creating a romantic atmosphere and making it a favorite spot among couples.

Jia Xiang Dou Jiang Dian 

Nice traditional Taiwanese breakfast items and soy milk. Must try the pepper bun with egg. Love the fried youtiao as it was crunchy and wasn’t too oily.

Taipei 101

The landmark supertall skyscraper in Taiwan. Taipei 101 comprises 101 floors above ground as well as 5 basement levels.

Sisi Nan Cun Village

 

An old alley community, staying opposite to the modern tallest tower of Taipei.

Jiufen 
Jiufen is a mountain town in northeast Taiwan. It is known for the narrow alleys of its old town, packed with teahouses, street food shacks and souvenir shops. 
Really good brew ice drip coffee!
Get some goodies back from this souvenir shop. 

 One of the best shop for Taiwanese egg rolls.

A Jou Peanut Ice Cream Roll

Peanut with ice cream packs an interesting and refreshing flavour.

Lai Ah Po Yu Yuan 
Taro Ball lovers should definitely try this out. 
Somewhere behind this Taro Ball stall has a resting area where you can witness this amazing view. 
Jiufen Teahouse
Quaint teahouse to stop by amidst the jostling in Jiu Fen. 

A little pricey but worth it for the real teahouse experience. 

 The biggest plus of this place is the scenery.

Another famous teahouse in Jiufen.

Shengping Theater
A historic theater which is lcoated right next to the iconic Jiufen stairs.

 You can take a tour bus or public transport to get there. It’s along a main highway, so walking and picture taking is not a problem.

You can literally see the Ying Yang on the ocean. A very cool geographical effect!

Huang Mian 
Escape the crowed from Jiufen and stop by at this restaurant this savour some delicious braised pork rice. The meat is slightly oily which adds a delicious salty and sweet flavour to the rice.

Shifen Old Street 
Love the fact that the train track is still being used as they let people walk through it and set the sky lanterns.

 Shifen Waterfall also called as Little Niagara, because the shape and the volume of waterfall mimic the Niagara waterfalls.

Ximending
Ximending is one of the most popular destination for tourists. This pedestrian shopping haven is one of the city’s culture centres, hosting a massive variety of fashion clothing shops, eclectic restaurants, clubs, and bars.

A landscape of honeycomb and mushroom rocks eroded by the sea.
Queen’s Head II
Due to long term weathering and erosion, the appearance of Queen’s Head, the symbol of the Yehliu Geopark, is gradually wearing down.  In order to preserve its elegant shape and provide tourists with another good attraction for appreciation, photo-taking as well as a model for educational teaching.

Jinshan Shuiwei Port – Mysterious Coast
You can come here to enjoy some good ocean views. It’s such a surprise because the village beside was uneventful but all of a sudden you go through a Little Rock cave and you’re greeted by nature.

Xiao You Keng

 

A post-volcanic geological park which is probably one of the best places to feel the pulsation of the volcano under your feet.

Trains come and go frequently and often used by students or backpackers.

It’s famous for its old street, an old local movie theater, a suspension bridge, a train station and Hakka culture.

Longteng Broken Bridge
A historic roadside attraction in the hills of Sanyi. Due to a major earthquake, this bridge by a mountain railway was almost entirely destructed, except its arch-shaped pillars. Further damage was caused when it was hit by another earthquake.

Neihu Strawberry Farm 
December through May is strawberry season. Each plum, sweetening piece of fruit hangs like a bright red lantern. It’s time to enjoy flowers and pick berries. Most Neihu strawberries are grown originally in greenhouses, using no insecticides or pesticides.

Hairei Metaballs
Their rice vermicelli are made of Indica rice and known for their fine, smooth and elastic texture. Entirely handmade using fresh pork hindquarter meat, the resultant meatballs gave a very difficult mouth feel from average ones.

Raohe Night Market
Right next to the entrance of the night market there’s a Buddhist temple which makes it an interesting experience by burning incense and pray there. 

 

Raohe Street Night Market is one of the oldest night markets in Songshan District of Taipei.
