Taman Desa
Bored of those typical, overpriced and small portioned cafe food? Fret not, this new cafe in town caters local Malaysian food. Also, a huge variety of cuisines could be found here too.
P.s: It might look mysterious and appealing but dine in if you’re feeling adventurous.
Good spot for gossiping?
Kepochi Teh Tarik (RM2.80++)
The favourite drink of all locals when chilling out. Order this icy cool drink to cool off the Malaysian summer heat. Love it when my teh tarik has a thick foamy layer on the top. I didn’t quite fancy this tho as I find it really diluted as the melting ice watered down the whole drink, making it close to tasteless when i wasn’t even halfway done.
Char Kuey Teow (RM9++)
Stir-fried flat noodle with prawn, cockles, chives, bean sprout, egg in soy & chili dried prawn paste. It smells pretty good upon serving. However, my opinion changed as i took the first bite. Not your typical kind of char kuey teow. The distinctive taste of it didn’t really appeal to me. Flat noodles were too dry and was coated with dried chili flakes which i find it weird. Sadly, there were only two prawns 🙁
Chicken Wings (RM10++)
Sweet & spicy sauce glazed chicken wings deep fried, served with mayo dip. The sweet & spicy sauce that was glazed on the chicken wings was really odd for my liking. Maybe I’m just not a fan of it. Chicken wings were lil overcooked which results in tough and dry meat which i had quite a hard time consuming it.
