Kuchai Lama
Kimi-Ya Japanese Restaurant has been around for almost 3 years. Serving delicious and authentic Japanese cuisine at an affordable price using the top ingredients whilst some are even flown in directly from Japan. Spacious restaurant which is perfect for a get together, or family gatherings in the private room.
Ume Sashimi Moriawase
4 types of fresh salmon, tuna, white tuna, and amberjack sashimi. The freshness of the sashimi is evident and all slices are thickly sliced to ensure maximum satisfaction.
Kimi-Ya Soft Shell Crab Salad
Deep fried Soft shell crab and fish skin with assorted garden salad, accompanied by a unique and flavourful homemade sauce of your choice, choose from sesame dressing, wafu dressing, and yuzu dressing. The greens were fresh and crips and my best pick would be the wafu dressing which was a tad savoury.
Hotate To Kinoko Mentai Yaki
Grilled scallops and shimeji mushroom topped with seared marinated roe mayonnaise. The three servings make this dish great for sharing. However, note that the mentai sauce is not quite like the usual as it contains a lil heat.
Sanma Shioyaki (Monthly Special)
At the price of RM28, this perfectly grilled mackerel is definitely worth it. Juicy and naturally sweet, squeeze some lemon juice for a brighter and more flavorful taste.
Unagi Garlic Rice Ishiyaki
Roasted eel atop fragrant garlic fried rice, garnished with seaweed flakes, white sesame seeds, fried garlic chips and spring onion. Served with teriyaki sauce for that additional punch of savoury goodness. Unagi was grilled to perfection, and the rice was very delicious. However, it it recommended to quickly consume this dish as the bottom of the rice would get burnt after awhile due to the hot stone.
Unagi Bara Chirashi Don
Japanese rice topped with cubed salmon, tuna, white tuna, unagi, and ikura. Generous portion of cubed fish which makes every bite so perfect and satisfying. A great bowl to get all your sashimi craving fixed while still filling up your stomach.
Tenzaru Inaniwa Udon
Cold thin wheat noodles served with dipping sauce, quail egg and assorted tempura. The homemade noodles is extremely springy and have a smooth texture. For the best gastronomical experience, add some of the homemade wasabi to the noodles before dipping it into the sauce and slurp up immediately from the sauce holder.
Tori Nanban Udon
Hot soup buckwheat noodles with chicken. The texture of the udon noodles was on point and bouncy, while the soup warms the heart and body. Perfect to be consumed on a chilly, rainy day.
Amazing Air-flown fish that can be done with three different styles.
Style 1: Sashimi
Style 2: Half-Cooked
Style 3: Soup
Light and luscious broth.
Green Tea Ice Cream
Abekawa Mochi
Homemade rice cake served with red bean paste and soybean powder. The Japan imported red bean paste deserves a shoutout due to its smooth and rich texture and not overly sweet flavour. Mochi was chewy and delectable.
Mizu Shingen Mochi
The famous crystal clear Japanese raindrop cake served with brown sugar syrup and soybean powder.
