Tangerine signifies abundance of joy which will be given out to guests visiting Chinese houses. For unmarried adults , red packets that are also known as “Hong bao” will be given out by them to unmarried guests and family members as a symbol of good fortune.
For food, expect to sample many unique delicacies and certain types food are considered lucky to be eaten at this time. Food plays an indispensable part in the traditional celebration of the Chinese New Year. Chinese family members would reunite and have a meal together on the New Years Eve. It is a symbol of family unity.

For those huge on sports, there will be a showcase of traditional Thai boxing, also known as Muay Thai, that happens every Monday and Thursday at Bangla Boxing Stadium.
