Lombok Travel Guide
Lombok is an Indonesian island east of Bali and west of Sumbawa. Lombok is not as crowded as Bali, but it is definitely a great place with beautiful beaches and crystal clear water.
DAY 1
Bintaro Jaya Lombok
A great restaurant serving traditional Indonesian food menu. Highly recommended if you wish try local dishes of Lombok such as Grilled Chicken Taliwang, Cah Kangkung and Baronang Fish Bakar.

The largest of the three islands, Gili Trawangan attracts the majority of the visitors, it is around thirty minutes boat ride from the northwest mainland of Lombok.
The beaches of the Gilis are still powdery white with clear blue water. Indeed a great place for snorkeling and diving.
Trawangan night market
Great night market in the island. You get to taste a variety of local Indonesian dishes as well as fresh fish and seafood.

Jali Kitchen
Jali Kitchen is located in Jali Resort which is a great spot for breakfast. Big breakfast, banana pancake, Indonesian style fried rice or noodles with vegetables and chicken.

Good place to eat on Gili Meno. Delicious curry dishes and also amazing fried calamari!

It is located on the quiet side of the island. This hotel has the perfect view of sunset on Gili Trawangan. It’s a good choice to stay here if you prefer serenity.

DAY 3
Nipah Beach
There are few seafood huts around this beach. You can get fresh, delicious and cheap grilled seafood here! If you crave authentic local food and want to dine with the locals, you should not miss this place.

Batu Bolong Temple
Was very surprised to see a Hindu temple in Lombok. It’s a small temple but the views are breathtaking. This temple projects into the beach Sengara Bolony in the traditional village of Canggu of Kuta district.

Banyumulek village
The village of Banyumulek is one of the principal pottery centres on the island. Besides enjoying the colourful Lombok pottery, you could also see the making process or even make your own pottery!

Good place to stop by and get a photo wearing traditional clothes. It’s interesting to see traditional weaving technique still in use.

Tanjung Aan Beach
The ebach is wide and has white sand. The most amazing part is the view point at the right hand side of the beach.

Merese Hills Sunset
It’s a great place from the hill to view the sunset. It took me only ten minutes to reach the top of the hill therefore it is really worth it. The further you walk along the hill, the more likely you will be surrounded just by yourself.

Sate Rembiga Bandara
This satay is only available in Rembiga and is well worth making a detour to devour! Doesn’t come with peanut sauce and certainly doesn’t need it! The beef satay is marinated in a spicy and flavourful sauce and BBQ over coconut husks. It literally melts in my mouth! Highly recommended!
