Petaling Jaya
Prologue by Awesome Canteen is located right beside Awesome Canteen.
A contemporary cafe that serves a host of Izakaya Style of Japanese Cuisine.
A Japanese restaurant in a uniquely non-Japanese setting.
Fried Buta Katsu (Rm15.90)
Deep fried pork cutlet. The pork cutlet was fried on point. Crispy on the outside soft on the inside. And it is definitely a need to order this when I’m dining in a Japanese restaurant.
Yaki Gyoza (Rm9.90)
6 pieces of pan fried japanese chicken dumplings served with ponzu sauce. The taste was flavourful but not too strong. Dipping it in a ponzu sauce enhances its flavour finely.
Tori Sansua Ramen (RM13.90 for small // RM19.90 for regular)
Grilled pepper corn chicken with wakame, negi, ajitama in tonkatsu soup. It wasnt an authentic ramen tho. Noodles are too soft and mushy for my liking. Soup base should be richer as it was quite bland and it tasted a bit starchy.
Tonkatsu Buta Ramen (Rm13.90 for small // Rm19.90 for regular)
Premium roast pork belly with wakame, negi, ajitama in tonkotsu soup. Their roast pork belly was indeed the bomb. The skin is still crispy eventho it is sinked in the soup for quite a while. I guess it would taste much better if you order the pork belly as a side dish.
