Rideasy @ APW Bangsar
The name Rideasy actually meant “ride easy”, which allow users to share and borrow cars from its community member through the user-friendly, comprehensive and secure online platform. Rideasy is an innovative yet sustainable means of transportation in Malaysia targeted at the youths. This is due to the phenomenon of more millennials that prefer not to own a vehicle which value depreciates greatly over the year. Research has also shown that youths place lesser emphasis on asset ownership and more on entertainment such as traveling the world. Hence, it aims to fulfill the need by providing vehicles without the ownership costs for either a short term or longer period of time.
The soft launching of a new web application which provides online services for car sharing named ‘Rideasy’ officially took place on November 23 at APW Bangsar, KL.
The new enterprise is based in Malaysia and has started its business in August last year. It allows car owners that share their car to earn some extra income and for car borrowers an alternative means of transportation platform to opt from targeted at those who does not want to bear on the burden of financial commitments of having a car.
Prior to the soft launch, there was a survey contest that was held throughout the month of Sept and Oct. Prizes were handed out to the winners by the CEO, Nizran Kudus and his partner, Rizal Mukti. The grand prize winner, Salawati Binti Usoh (44) stated that she was delighted to have won the prize which was an all-expense paid trip to Penang’s most famous Hard Rock Hotel. She will be heading there with her husband in December.
In conjunction of the event, Rideasy’s telematic partner, Omar Hatmi gave a wonderful presentation on how his company, Active Telematics is involved in the online fleet management.
Followed by a short presentation by Nizran to explain about the function of Rideasy as well as to premier the company’s corporate video.

Rideasy provides an array of selection of vehicles including high-end vehicles other than MPVs, SUVs, and Sedans, at a reasonable price of up to 30% lower than market rates.
Besides that, users can have a piece-of-mind as transactions are to be contracted with a sharing agreement and via a strategic partnership with Allianz Insurance. In other words, shared vehicles will be fully protected for incidents such as breakdown and personal accident.
