An Italian Spanish-Mediterranean restaurant quietly opened two months ago in Ampang, the neighbouring city at KL. Sapore serves delicate wine and artisanal food which mainly consist of delicious Spanish Tapas and the treasure of Spanish Cuisine, Jamon Iberico. It is assured that every bite is satisfying while every drink is intoxicating.

Espresso (RM6)

Sangria Red Wine (RM28/glass)

Gin Tonic (RM7)

Focaccia
A flat oven-baked Italian bread product similar in style and texture to pizza doughs. Topped with herbs, tomatoes, and cheese in the centre.

Jamon Iberico Ham (RM45)
The world finest ham served alongside toasted baguette and tomato.

Porchetta Pork Roast Rollade Style (RM18)
Black pork belly slow cook for seven hours and marinate for two days with herbs and rosemary. Kept cold, thinly sliced and full in flavour.

Lardo Flavoured Tuscany Pork Lard (RM25)
Sprinkled with a pinch of salt and drizzles of olive oil. The texture can bit a lil too heavy for you if you’re not a fan of fatty food. However, it was very thin and smooth.

Prosciutto di Parma Ham (RM30)
A beautiful cut from the leg of pink pork. Extremely fine slice with a strong salty taste.

Mortadella Cooked Ham & Pistachio (RM23)
A large Italian sausage which incorporates small cubes of pork fat. It tastes really great as the pistachio adds a nice crunch.

Chorizo Paprika Salami (RM22)
Pork sausage marinated with spicy powder and paprika.

Salchichón Pork Salami (RM22)
Pork sausage marinated with black pepper.

Capocollo Dry-Cured Pork Shoulder (RM25)

Cecina Air-Dried Beef (RM32)

Queso Manchego (RM22/50g)
A type of cheese made from the milk of sheep of the Manchega breed. The taste wasn’t too strong with a nice salty flavour.

Spaghetti Aglio Olio Crumbs (RM26)
Cooked with anchovies, pecorino cheese, baby tomatoes, herbs, garlic and chili flakes. The anchovies omits a very strong smell and contribute to the umami flavour. The crumb-coated spaghetti was interesting and delicious as well.

Vanilla Creme Brûlée (RM16)
I usually enjoy my creme brûlée rich and creamy but the custard in this one doesn’t set and gets up too runny.

Tiramisu (RM20)
Infused with coffee and a coffee-flavored liqueur, kahlua, i had to agree that the flavour was strong and good. Yet, it was way too soggy for my liking.
