Shinmapo Korean BBQ has topped the list of Korean BBQ restaurants with 430 outlets in Korea and more than 500 restaurants worldwide. Being the first and only outlet in Malaysia, it has lead to massive que during peak hours. Nonetheless, the food are worth the wait and will not disappoint. Their service is great as everything will be bbq-ed and cooked by a person in charge for your own table. So do not worry about cooking and just enjoy your meal. The pork dishes are lovely. Nicely cooked and marinated. Prawns were huge and fresh.
Military Stew
Also known as budae jjigae, this hearty and warm traditional version of army stew is made from sausages, spam, ham, chilli, red chilli paste, kimchi, garlic, onion and cabbage.

Refillable at no charges. There were kimchi, fruit salad, vegetable salad and more.
Assorted greens w/ yuzu dressing
The salad was very crisp and refreshing.
Volcano Fried Rice (RM33)
The fried rice is of a figure of a mountain in Korea, Hallasan Mountain with the egg scramble surrounding it that resembles Jeju Island. It was pretty dense and very rich in taste. I absolutely love the fluffy eggs that were nicely cooked.
