Top Places for Prawn Noodles

If you love prawns like i do, then the chances are you will enjoy a hearty bowl of prawn noodles. The soup is slightly spicy, sweet and savory soup and is cooked with sambal paste, prawns and generous amount of prawn heads and shells. Green Lane Noodles 
The prawn mee is full of flavor and the soup is on the saltier side. Portions are relatively big. This is a place to get decent Penang street food though the menu is only limited to five items.

The soup was really robust and flavorful. The flavor is tad on the spicy side. You could opt for additional toppings such as pork intestines, pork ribs, prawns and eggs.

This stall has been established for more than 25 years. Their prawn mee soup has a distinct prawn flavor and it is topped with lots of fired shallots! The char kuey teow here is pretty good too!

Good choices to splurge on. From the basic prawn mee, you can add a plethora of seafood, ribs, intestines and more. The broth is thick and flavorful.

You could get a different prawn mee style here as they use yee mee instead. The prawn noodles is served in a Claypot and it is topped with lots of ingredients such as char siew, fish cake and so forth. They are well known for their lala omelette too!

This place offers a great range of Penang street food. Penang style prawn mee that is light in color but flavorful. Their prawn mee is only available on Saturdays and Sundays.

A hidden gem that serves decent and good prawn mee. The broth is not too thick but it is still flavorful.

Prawn Noodle King Uptown 
One of the better prawn noodles in town. Amazing deep flavoured broth with a selection of fillings including ribs, pork belly and mantis prawns.

Restaurant Yong Len is a Chinese Kopitiam in TTDI and has been well known for prawn noodles for decades. The broth is light, sweet and flavorful.

This stall is located at Kepong Desa Jaya and has operated for more than 30 years. The broth is quite light and spicy, but the portion is really big and i think that’s really reasonable and worth for the price.

Restoran Seafood Fat Boon
This stall does not only sell delicious ice kacang but prawn noodles, hokkien mee, fried rice and more. The fried rice is really decent and good though. Simplicity at its best.
